Exercise: Don’t Break the Chain (5 minutes)
Jerry Seinfeld made a fierce commitment to write jokes for his routines every day. One simple process he employed was to put an ‘X’ on every day where he wrote. When he wrote two days in a row, he would connect the X’s so it looked like a chain. Once you’ve set your sights on a new habit, try out the “Don’t Break the Chain” exercise and see how many days you can go with keeping the chain enacted. Here’s a PDF of a calendar to get you started.
