Apply a Featured Image (optional)

If you would like to take advantage of the Featured Image capability available in some WordPress themes, follow these steps:

1. From the WordPress Dashboard, with your post open in edit mode (or newly created), scroll down until you see the Featured Image section listed in the right sidebar.
2. Click the set featured image link. WordPress will display the Featured Image dialog.
3. You can select an existing image from the Media Library, or upload a new image to be associated with the current post.
4. Once you have specified the image you prefer, click the Set Featured Image button.
5. WordPress will return you to the Dashboard, and display the Featured Image you specified in the Featured Image section.
